Digital Marketing for Business Growth 101

DIGITAL MARKETING FOR BUSINESS GROWTH  101:

Are you hearing the VOICES of your STAKEHOLDERS (Customers, internal team, vendors, suppliers, contractors, etc., anyone who is directly/indirectly involved in the business)?

80% of the solutions to our client’s digital marketing campaigns come from “𝗩𝗢𝗜𝗖𝗘 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗞𝗘𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗗𝗘𝗥𝗦”

Yes! 80%. Unbelievable, right?

Here is an easy 5-step process that you may follow in your business to identify solutions to improve your digital marketing campaigns.

𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟭: Identify the goal or objective of the campaign. In most of the campaigns, it’s to make money for the business. It may also be creating brand awareness, or business reach, etc. So, decide what the S.M.A.R.T. goal is!

𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟮: Arrange a meeting with all the stakeholders in the business. Some businesses may not want to reveal their client database. In some businesses, it is difficult to meet senior management. Try to book a time with as many people as possible. More people, the better.

𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟯: Prepare a questionnaire. I know it may be daunting, but I will make life easier for you. Just 2 questions. Just 2? Yes! Here you go:

1. With respect to the campaign goal, what is working well? For example, if the goal is to bring more revenue for the business, ask them about the tasks/projects in the business that generates the most revenue, or something similar.

2. With respect to the campaign goal, what needs to be improved? For example, if the goal is to bring more revenue for the business, ask them about how they think that the business can bring in more revenue.

With these 2 questions in mind, keep exploring the answers of the stakeholder. You need to have a genuine interest in exploring. Even if you’re hiring someone in your team to do it, assign it to someone who can show genuine interest in understanding the stakeholders.

𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟰: Collect all the information from all the stakeholders, and CONNECT THE DOTS from all the answers.

𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟱: Develop the digital campaign with common sense. Instead of trying to fit different marketing solutions into your business, choose the ones that will work for your scenario. If a restaurant needs foot traffic, just a flyer/brochure to residential/commercial properties in a 2-3km radius is far more useful than developing a website and run social media campaigns. So, always use common sense.

Try this next time, and you’ll be amazed by the results.
